Chief Veterinarian
The National Pork Board is seeking a Chief Veterinarian to serve as the National Pork Board’s (NPB) leader and spokesperson in the areas of swine disease, animal health, swine science, and swine research and also serve as an expert in the area of foreign animal disease (FAD) knowledge, prevention, preparation, response and recovery.  Job Responsibilities Include: Focus on the health and disease status of the US swine herd with special emphasis on FAD threats. Partner with domestic and foreign government officials as well as with state pork associations, allied industry, other veterinarians and pork producers to ensure any issues that could negatively or positively impact the US swine herd are clearly known, adequately researched and effectively communicated
