Valley Veterinary Emergency & Referral Center is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6 month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position with our team!
For over twenty years, Valley Veterinary Emergency Hospital (VVERC) has provided the community and their cats and dogs with quality emergency pet care services. Valley Veterinary Emergency Hospital was born from the vision of 19 local veterinarians and in April of 1998, our doors opened. In 2018, Valley Veterinary Emergency Hospital proudly grew to become an NVA owned hospital. Winchester, VA is also cozied up next to America’s “Wild and Wonderful” West Virginia where you will find the famous Harper’s Ferry hiking trails, waterfalls, and Potomac River. We have the location, a beautiful, newly renovated facility, and a hospital team that we could not be more proud of.
VVERC sits in a prime location in Winchester, Virginia where all four seasons are experienced! We are within a short distance of many great hotels, an abundance of restaurants, and beautiful wineries. Winchester’s very own historic walking mall can be found 10 minutes away where you’ll discover dozens of locally owned shops selling anything from antiques and fine art to freshly baked goods, mouthwatering foods, and trinkets! The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program
The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.
The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.

6 month training program with flexible/rolling start date options
1-year commitment as an ER clinician at VVERC following training
