Tristate Veterinary, PLLC is a primarily-based equine veterinary practice based in Charles Town, WV. Charles Town is a mid-sized rural town in the eastern panhandle of WV and is easily accessible from multiple major airports of the DC Metro area of Washington-Baltimore: Dulles International, Reagan International, and Baltimore-Washington International Airport are all within an hour drive of our practice location. The eastern panhandle of WV offers cultural and social opportunities locally and in other states, with short travel times to Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, in addition to the Washington D.C. locale.
The practice is staffed by one owner veterinarian, two registered veterinary technicians, a veterinary assistant and an office manager offering an adeptness in veterinary services and experience in multiple areas of medicine, accounting and financial background; providing an excellent mentorship environment for a new graduate. The practice’s focus is based largely in the area of the racing industry, with a daily schedule on the premises of the Charles Town Races, reproductive and general veterinary medical services for multiple show and hobby farms in the tri-state area of Maryland, West Virginia, and Maryland.
Our current services include wellness care, limited imaging (Ultrasonography, endoscopy, and radiography), field castration and vaccination, soundness and pre-purchase examinations and reproductive and foaling care. The practice recently added the technician-driven services of Magna Wave, Equi Vibe therapy,accredited EIA testing laboratory facility, and in-house blood chemistry analyzers.
We are expanding professional services and coverage area and, as such, are actively in search of the ideal DVM candidate(s). Interest in equine work is required as a team member of Tristate Veterinary, PLLC with the owner of Tristate Veterinary willing to consider advancement into other areas of interest for the ideal DVM candidate who is motivated and passionate about a career in veterinary medicine and is looking to practice within a tight knit, welcoming team of professionals. We appreciate and strive for a work-life balance while offering first class service to a large clientele in the surrounding community. The addition of a second veterinarian will enhance this balance and allow for continued growth of the work-life balance for team members.

A mobile, primarily equine practice, located in the Eastern Panhandle of WV, 15 min to Md, VA and East of Interstate 81. Focus of clients are at Charles Town Racetrack and surrounding farms; breeding, performance and back yard horses, occasionally small animals and cattle. Fun toys include digital radiography, portable ultrasounds, wireless video endoscopes, in house blood and fecal machines and fully stocked trucks.
