Associate Veterinarian – Equine
Carter Vet Services is seeking a full time Associate Equine Veterinarian to join our three doctor
mobile practice. Our office is in the heart of the Lowcountry and surrounded by beautiful
coastline. We are located just minutes from Savannah Georgia, 35 minutes from Hilton Head Island
and 40 minutes from Beaufort, all of which boast abundant outdoor activities, numerous beaches,
open air entertainment, and historical attractions. For more city adventurers, Jacksonville,
Atlanta, Greenville, and Charleston are only a short drive away.
Carter Veterinary Services was established in 2009 and is a full service mobile/ambulatory
practice. There are currently three full time veterinarians, Dr. Dessie Carter and two full time
associates. We are growing quickly and have plans to build a clinic within the next few years.

The ideal candidate will have a collaborative spirit, a willingness to learn and a great attitude
towards their fellow teammates and clients. Our entire staff, especially our veterinarians are
encouraged to engage with clients at appointments to help forge better communication practices.
Applicants will need to be or become licensed in the state of South Carolina and Georgia and while
a minimum of one year experience is valued, we urge new graduates to consider applying. This is a
full time position with modest rotating on-call responsibilities after hours and during weekends to
maximize a sustainable work life balance. A competitive base salary will be offered, centered around experience
and/or qualifications along with a quarterly commission based on performance.
