An enthusiastic neurologist who wants to work in a friendly, collaborative environment.

About SLVS:
SLVS is a multi-specialty hospital in the suburbs of Houston, Texas. We have Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Critical Care, Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Emergency services.
SLVS is a great place to work. The environment is very warm and collaborative.
Specialists go out of their way to support each other so we can all practice to the best of our abilities and for the best care of our patients.
The hospital is large enough to allow high end practice, but small enough to be personal.
The Neurology Service is staffed with 5 full time technicians who have been with SLVS for 2 to 8 years. They are a terrific team who get along well and take on a great deal of responsibility to allow DVMs to focus on their work. We will add further technician staff to support another Neurologist well. We have a beautiful, new Phillips Achieva 1.5T MRI. Our Diagnostic Imaging team is well-staffed and runs gorgeous and efficient scans.
Houston is the most diverse large city in the U.S. The food scene is outstanding! Sugar Land is a beautiful suburb that is populated with highly educated and well-off folks who like to take excellent care of their pets. SLVS also draws clients from the entire greater Houston area.
Compensation and benefits are generous and competitive.
A Neurologist joining the service would have the option of a 3- or 4-day work week.
Here is the list of our Neuro Team Toys:
Philips Achieva 1.5T MRI
GE Light speed 16-slice CT
Nicolet electrodiagnostics machine
C-arm in surgery suite
More about Dr. Samantha Kegge (Practicing Neurologist at Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists):
BS in mechanical engineering from Rice University
DVM at Texas A&M
Internship at University of Georgia
Residency at the Ohio State University and Tufts
Dr. Kegge has worked in several private practices, including the AMC and GCVS. I have been at SLVS since 2016. I love SLVS for several reasons. First, the people are amazing. It is a great team of doctors who practice with a very similar patient-first philosophy. The tech support is outstanding, our technicians work at a very high level to allow us to focus on DVM work. Second, the size of the hospital and of Lakefield is ideal - large enough to support practicing great medicine without being impersonal. The corporation has a very light touch. Lakefield never dictates how we practice medicine but encourages us to be our best.
Our community has outstanding schools, great restaurants, live music, shopping, and 25+ parks! Sugar Land is home to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, Fort Bend Children's Discovery Center, and the Houston Astros Triple-A affiliate team, there is something for everyone!
Our partnership with Lakefield Veterinary Group is a long-term relationship dedicated to compassionate veterinary care. We are building communities of talented and like-minded veterinarians that will embody our core values of Respect, Wow Service, Learning, Fun, and will always Do the Right Thing. There is no greater reward than strengthening the human/pet bond. It is our responsibility to go beyond the borders of our local legacy and provide expert level veterinary medicine to pets all over the world during our annual trip with World Vets. We invite you to come experience the Lakefield family.
