As a Veterinary Student Ambassador, CityVet will partner with you to help facilitate opportunities for the student body at the partnered University. This partnership will increase the awareness of CityVet’s brand while maintaining and meeting all the University’s outlined requirements and protocols for all corporate sponsors. The establishment of this relationship is to advance the veterinary profession through educational opportunities, and hands-on experiences, and to maximize the outreach of CityVet’s efforts to connect with every student interested in expanding their knowledge and experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
• Act as a liaison between the University and the CityVet team to keep up to date on sponsorship opportunities, career events, and on and off-campus sponsorship activities
• Engage with the student body about who CityVet is and proactively share any current externship offers, lunch-n-learn meetings, or on-campus visits
• Build student engagement by distributing information about CityVet’s campus involvement, externship opportunities, and student participation possibilities
• Partner with the CityVet campus involvement team to identify and suggest any campus opportunities that would enhance the offerings to students at the University
• Assist in coordinating on-campus activities, posting event announcements, reserving meeting rooms, and all other event details
COMPENSATION
You will be compensated by the following methods:
• A $1000 stipend ($500 paid out each semester) served under the Veterinary Student Ambassador paid on the first day of scheduled classes
• First choice picks in mentors and externship program dates/locations
• Participate in all CityVet hosted or sponsored Continuing Education events
• Personal resume review and interview prep consultation

REQUIREMENTS

•Must be in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.5<
• Must be enrolled at an AVMA Accredited University
• Preferably enrolled as a 2nd or 3rd year Student of Veterinary Medicine
• Does not currently hold any conflicting student representative positions
• Active and engaged in multiple student organizations
• One-year commitment
