Don't be fooled by large sign-on bonuses!  They often come with stipulations that require associate veterinarians to work long hours, with minimal mentorship, bad schedules, and marginal support.  All these can contribute to "early burnout" and disillusionment with the profession.

Franklin Ranch Pet Hospital is a family owned, 9 vet, practice with a range of 2-47 years of experience in the profession.  We have board certified specialists in echocardiology, ultrasonography, and surgery affiliated with the practice on a weekly basis.  Our technical support staff is outstanding and always improving.  (Currently 4 of our technicians are attending veterinary school when they are not working with us during the summer).

We are located within 45 minutes of UC Davis Veterinary school in a 19,000 sq ft building  

Compensation averages $150,000 for 3.5 day work week with 401K, paid vacation, CE allowance, sick pay, negotiable moving bonus, etc.
