Clinical Veterinarian (Non-Human Primates)
Location: South Texas

Key Responsibilities: - Provide medical and surgical care for laboratory animals, ensuring humane and adequate veterinary support. - Perform physical, ophthalmic, and other needed exams on laboratory animals. - Offer expertise on animal health, biology, physiology, and research methodology to staff scientists and technicians, and provide training as needed. - Assist the site supervisor in ensuring compliance with policies and practices regarding animal care and welfare, adhering to relevant regulations. - Report and participate in the resolution of all animal care concerns. - Work in a fast-paced environment with non-human primates.
Ideal Candidate: - Clinical experience in lab animal is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate. - Experience working with non-human primates is desirable but not required. A strong desire to work with NHPs is essential. - Active DEA registration. - Ability to obtain a Texas DVM license within 30 days of the offer. - Willingness to work with laboratory animals in a research/laboratory setting.
