Buffalo Veterinary Group (BVG) is currently seeking an associate: full-time associate for Grand Island Animal Hospital, and full-time associate for our Green Acres Veterinary Center.  BVG is a family of ten privately-owned AAHA-certified hospitals located in suburban Buffalo, NY. Green Acres has seen tremendous growth in the last few years and Williamsville with a brand new office.  We offer clients and patients a complete range of high-quality veterinary services including surgical and therapeutic laser, acupuncture, TPLO, bone plating, ultrasound, digital dental and full body radiography, full IDEXX in-house lab with Sedivue, CT, Internal Medicine (Dr. Gerard & Dr. Palermo), Endoscopy, blood products, blood gas and coag testing, sevoflurane anesthesia, and EzyVet software with Vet Radar patient management.  This summer, we will be adding a boarded surgeon, a boarded neurologist, as well as an MRI.  In addition, we offer a wide range of telemedicine capabilities including consultation in the following areas: cardiology, neurology, internal medicine, radiology, pathology, and dermatology.

Schedule and Compensation -

We work a rotating schedule allowing for busy days to be followed by slower days.  Our doctors' schedules  average 36-38 hours per week and ensure 3-day weekends in rotation.  Excellent base salary based on experience plus percentage.  Expected annual compensation - $130,000-$250,000+.  New graduate veterinarian base pay is $120,000 plus percentage, or based on experience. 

An ER position is three 12-hour shifts per week with a starting base salary of $180,000 ($150,000 for new graduates).

Continuing CE -

Our veterinarians attend monthly Buffalo Academy meetings featuring lectures by nationally known speakers. In addition, we provide a stipend to attend a conference annually.
