Full time job opening for a small animal veterinarian
We are looking for a small animal practitioner who wants to join our multi-doctor small animal clinic located in Chester, VT. Rockingham Veterinary Clinic has been around since the 1980s, but in 2020 moved to a spacious, newly renovated facility in the heart of Chester. Rockingham Veterinary Clinic was purchased in late 2019 by Vermont New Hampshire Veterinary Clinic, an 8 doctor AAHA accredited mixed animal hospital located 30 minutes south in East Dummerston, VT. The two clinics support each other (we refer to them as sister clinics), and doctors frequently practice at both locations. We continue to grow and expand our clientele, yet strive to retain that small-town feel. Both clinics are located in lovely rural small towns with significant opportunity for outdoor activities like hiking, and skiing.

Offerings
- Relocation bonus $5,000

The finer details
- Mentorship is available for those who need it from experienced owners as well as an experienced associate
- Four, 8-hour days/week with no on-call. Rotating Saturday appointment schedule amongst the vets on duty (approximately every 6 weeks). Appointments end an hour prior to shift end (time for notes and call backs!)
- Pay is salaried per diem with a higher day rate for additional days worked
- Paid vacation, health insurance stipend, dues/licenses/DEA/liability insurance covered, CE stipend and paid CE days
- Saturday hours are offered at VTNH to simplify staffing
Start-date is flexible. Our ideal candidate is experienced, but new graduates are welcome. An interest in surgery, including dentistry, is desired but not required as we have a great full-time doctor who loves surgery.
Both locations have easy access to the highway for travel, and traffic is not an issue.
