Come work and live at the beach in Southeast Coastal Georgia. Brunswick is located in The Golden Isle Area, between Savannah and Jacksonville. Seeking a full-time or part time veterinarian, with potential for partnership/ownership for the right individual.
This is a wonderful privately owned, small animal practice with state of the art equipment, a wonderful staff, and clients that appreciate being treated like family. Currently one full-time veterinarian, the owner, that is interested in slowing down over the next 5 to 6 years. Potential partnership/ownership for the right individual with similar practice values and a great outgoing, fun personality. We pride ourselves in providing excellent, personalized care to our clients and patients and make them feel at home. The facility is about 2300 ft.² with four exam rooms, brand new digital x-ray Machine, ultrasound, therapy/surgical laser and Idexx/Abaxis in-house blood work machines. There is room for expansion, since there is an additional 1800 ft.² available, that is currently rented out to a medical doctor.
Currently, the majority of patients are canines and felines with some pocket pets and an occasional avian patient. Great opportunity for expansion into exotics/equine/large animal with no competition in the area. We have a great support staff with two receptionist and three technicians serving one doctor. New graduates are welcome to apply as Dr. Overman enjoys mentoring, but also enjoys learning new procedures and techniques from seasoned and new veterinarians. Compensation depends on experience, but is based on industry standards with a production based salary if desired.
A full-time position would entail a 40 hour work week with Wednesdays and weekends off. Occasional emergency care after hours may be required, but is triaged by a veterinary technician, on average 0 to 2 per month ( 24 hour veterinary care facility located within 40 miles).
Benefits for a full-time veterinarian include two weeks paid vacation, paid holidays, three days paid time off for continuing education with a $1500 budget for registration and travel expenses. Paid dues for AVMA, GVMA, license renewal. Georgia Department of Ag accreditation and DEA license would be a plus. This is a privately own practice built from the ground up, where you can practice veterinary medicine the way you want to, and where we value our clients and patients and treat them like family. Check us out on Google and social media.
Georgia veterinary license Accreditation from the Georgia Department of Agriculture and a DEA license would be beneficial.
