Who We Are: 

Bortell Animal Hospital is a privately-owned practice that is devoted to superior care of small animals, exotics and pocket pets. We are committed to providing comprehensive care and our practice is proud to offer a large range of diagnostic resources including digital and dental radiography, laser therapy, in house laboratory, ultrasound, alpha-stim, a fully equipped surgical suite, and acupuncture. We specialize in both traditional and holistic Chinese and Western herbal medicine, which has expanded our scope of care to embrace diverse therapies, allowing us to truly tailor medicine to each individual patient. Here at BAH, we also have access to a Veterinary teaching hospital located about an hour away in Champaign-Urbana, which aids us in referral cases that require specialized attention. 

Our hospital is open to exploring a broader range of exotic and pocket pets, especially if there is an interest for it. Additionally, Veterinarians with a focus or interest in rehabilitation services are encouraged to apply, since we aim to incorporate this into our practice in the near future.
