Amherst Veterinary Hospital is looking to add a full time or part time small animal veterinarian to our progressive, multi-doctor, privately owned practice that was voted best in Portage County for two years running. We are a state-of-the-art clinic with a full in-house IDEXX lab station, digital radiology, and several cutting-edge tools to make sure we give our patients the best care possible. Here patients receive the benefits of surgical laser, therapy laser, and access to in-house ultrasound with specialist consultations through Oncura. We utilize an AI review system for radiographs to ensure nothing is missed and our Cornerstone veterinary software integrates patient lab results and radiographs directly into the digital medical records. We have a large, welcoming reception area, four exam rooms- one exclusively for feline patients, a full surgical suite, pharmacy and kennel area.

Our hospital consists of 2 veterinarians, 3 CVT's, 5 assistants, 3 receptionists and an office manager with a doctor/staff ratio 2:1.  We pride ourselves on our long-term employee retention, with most of our staff averaging 10 years with us. Our experienced CVT's utilize their skills in radiology, dentistry, phlebotomy, anesthetic/surgical monitoring, and lab work. This enables our veterinarians to focus on patient care and client communications. Our veterinarians carry an interesting and rewarding case load. We are located within an hour of Blue Pearl-Appleton to assist with any referral. No after-hours emergency or on-call gives our staff a great work-life balance.
