We are a privately owned, small animal hospital in need of an associate veterinarian. Mapleview Animal Hospital is celebrating over 50 years in the Norwalk, Ohio community. We are a female lead, family friendly practice focused on high quality medicine. We have a long term staff dedicated to providing compassionate care. Our goal is to strengthen the bond between people and pets in our community through medicine, education and compassion. Utilize our in-house laboratory, digital radiography and new dental suite with digital dental radiography to provide the best care for our patients. We are looking for a part-time associate veterinarian with good communication skills and a positive attitude to add to our team. A willingness to do surgery and dental procedures is a plus. Diagnostic and case management skills are required. Norwalk Ohio is a small town in Northeast Ohio between Cleveland and Toledo. • Outpatient appointments, follow-up care, client education, complete medical records.
• Hospitalized patient management, develop treatment plans, communicate with clients and support staff regarding patient treatment and progress.
• Perform surgical procedures and dental extractions, maintain complete and accurate medical records and communicate with clients.
• Emergency and critical care during regular business hours.
• Other responsibilities include maintaining ethical, moral and professional standards, maintaining a professional appearance and a positive attitude at all times and attending and participating in required monthly meetings.
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Ohio is required.
