How often do you hear “we are so glad you are here”. At Carrabassett Veterinary Services we hear it virtually every day.
We are looking for a third veterinarian to join us. Our candidate will be bright and enthusiastic about the profession, compassionate, a new grad or an experienced professional looking for a change.
We are a progressive, privately-owned SA practice in the beautiful western mountains of Maine. If you are an enthusiast of any type of outdoor activity, this is an opportunity made for you. We are surrounded by woods, mountains, rivers, and lakes. Sugarloaf Mountain, a world-class ski and golf area, is 10 miles away. The pristine Carrabassett River is across the road. There is a beautiful waterfall a 10 minute walk from our front door, where you can enjoy a quiet lunch.
You would be working with two experienced veterinarians, one of whom has 45 years of experience and really enjoys mentoring. Since the closest specialty practices are two hours away, we get to do a lot of interesting surgeries and follow a lot of fascinating medical cases. Our practice is well equipped with what you expect of a modern practice including, in-house lab, digital radiography and ultrasound.
Your compensation includes competitive salary, medical and malpractice insurance, licensing, CE, PTO, retirement plan and, if desired, housing. Full time is a 4-day workweek, 32 scheduled patient contact hours/week. No after-hours emergency work. There is long-term employment/potential ownership possibility. Beyond the basics you will discover a pleasant and supportive workplace, creative scheduling, importance placed on your input when creating policy, and an environment that supports life-long learning.
