We are seeking Veterinary Student Externs in their senior year who are eager to dive into an exceptional mentorship and growth opportunity.
PAHC's mission is to provide top-notch veterinary care, emphasizing communication and the absolute best patient care. If you're passionate about small animal medicine and eager to learn from an experienced practitioner, our externship program could be the perfect fit for you.
We offer an array of surgeries (including orthopedic) in our fully equipped surgical suite, advanced dentistry equipment, ultrasound, radiology, laser technology, Sanawave therapy, oncology services, comprehensive in-house laboratory, and more. PAHC places emphasis on mentorship opportunities and looks forward to helping the new generation of future DVMs achieve their dreams.

Externship Duties:
Hands-On Learning: Work alongside our experienced veterinarian and practice owner, Dr. Tonya Curtis, in a one-on-one setting. Gain practical experience in all aspects of small animal medicine, from wellness exams to complex surgeries.
Patient Care: Participate in patient care, from intake to discharge, ensuring the highest level of comfort and compassion for our furry patients.
Surgical Exposure: Observe various surgical procedures, from routine spays and neuters to more advanced orthopedic surgeries. Learn surgical techniques and patient monitoring.
Client Interaction: Improve your communication skills by interacting with clients. Shadow consultations, discuss treatment plans, and witness the importance of client education in veterinary care.
Innovation and Technology: Experience our commitment to innovation in veterinary medicine. Learn about the latest diagnostic tools and treatment modalities in our state-of-the-art facility.
