Prairie View Animal Hospital, one of the premier companion animal practices in North Central Illinois, is looking to add an associate veterinarian to our staff.   Two+ years of experience/production history is preferred.  We are a long-established, privately owned hospital with a reputation for providing high-quality, compassionate family-oriented pet care.  We foster long-term relationships with our loyal clientele and many of our clients have been with us through multiple generations of pets.

We are a 2-doctor practice with both Drs having 30+ years of experience and are both $1 million+/ year in production while working very reasonable hours and taking ample vacation time.  We stress a fun teamwork atmosphere, encourage activities outside the hospital and provide ample time off to enjoy those activities.  The DeKalb/Sycamore area is the ideal location for those who prefer a variety of lifestyle options – rural, suburban and urban.  We are located 30 minutes from the western suburbs, 60 minutes from downtown Chicago and 90 minutes from Milwaukee and Madison.  Our working hours are very reasonable with no after-hours emergency calls, Saturday hours of 8-noon with at least every other Saturday off. 

 PVAH has an outstanding support staff several of whom have been with us for 15+ years and we utilize our staff to their fullest potential which allows our doctors to concentrate on only the “Dr Stuff”.   The senior staff Dr is looking to begin scaling back on hours so there will be readily available production for the successful candidate to begin taking over.   As mentioned above, we offer a very competitive salary along with health insurance and 401K.  The sign-on/retention bonus will be paid out in increments over 3 years and will be based on years of experience/production history and meeting very attainable production goals.  The initial $5000 of the bonus will be paid out with the first payroll.
