Tri-State Veterinary is staffed with Registered Veterinary Technicians, skilled and knowledgeable assistants and excellent business management team members! Our current practice includes digital radiography, portable ultrasound, video endoscopy, and in-house and reference laboratories utilized in Equine and Farm Animal Medicine. The clientele consists of Charles Town Races breeders and equine enthusiasts, private equine breeders, competitors and small hobby farms throughout the eastern panhandle of West Virginia; extending into neighboring counties in Virginia and Maryland; offering an excellent opportunity for a new graduate or current practicing veterinarian to be part of our expansion involved in management and growth through development of individual areas of interest in animal health while affording ample time to enjoy the diverse social events throughout the urban area.
Jefferson County, WV is a growing extension of neighboring Loudoun County, Virginia and the D.C./Baltimore Metropolitan area. Residing in the Eastern Panhandle affords close proximity to the social events of the nearby Washington, D.C. Metro area (1 hour east of Charles Town) without the high cost of living! Our location is within 15 minutes of Virginia Hunt Country in Clarke and Loudoun Counties as well as a 90-minute drive to attend professional sports teams such as the Ravens, Commanders, Orioles, Wizards, Nationals, etc.; offering a wide range of social activities for the young professional.
Full- time Responsibilities may include:
- Track and farm work on a rotational basis - Reproduction - Lameness - Preventive Health Care Programs - All disciplines of Equine - Limited Ruminant Species - Opportunity for expansion to include the candidate's interest as desired with staff to include registered veterinary technicians and skilled assistants.
Part-time positions also considered with negotiable pay rate based on hours and duties.

A mobile, primarily equine practice, located in the Eastern Panhandle of WV, 15 min to Md, VA and East of Interstate 81. Focus of clients are at Charles Town Racetrack and surrounding farms; breeding, performance and back yard horses, occasionally small animals and cattle. Fun toys include digital radiography, portable ultrasounds, wireless video endoscopes, in house blood and fecal machines and fully stocked trucks.
