Murfreesboro Animal Clinic is looking to add licensed veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants to our team! Murfreesboro Animal Clinic has been in business for over 50 years and is well established in our community. We are a privately owned two-doctor small animal practice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We are a family centered practice. Our focus is on quality patient care and advancement of our profession. We strive to help teach future generations of technicians and veterinarians while giving back out our community. We are looking for several long-term candidates to share in our mission and join our family!
We offer a full range of services from annual checkups, vaccines, various surgeries, full diagnostic bloodwork and urinalysis with our in-house Idexx Laboratory. Diagnostic ultrasound, dentistry with digital dental and full body x-ray machines, acupuncture for pain and arthritis, grade IV therapeutic laser, surgical otoscope, and cardiopet are just some of our equipment capabilities. We practice fear-free and diligently seek ways to strengthen the human-animal bond; be this through behavior counseling, gentle handling or medicated visits. We see walk-ins, daytime emergencies and regularly scheduled appointments to help meet our clients’ needs. We are open 5 days a week and half days Saturdays. We are closed on all major holidays. We offer paid health insurance stipend, dental, and eye care, as well as paid vacations, and sick days, discounted disability insurance, and a paid gym membership. We also offer paid CE training for licensed veterinary technicians! We work hard but focus on family and care about the work-life balance. We have many wonderful trained veterinary assistants that are pre-vet or in tech school. We are open to full-time and part-time applicants.
Patient Care
To actively oversee the care of all patients that are hospitalized in clinic. Be that by providing direct care or appropriately delegating care and assisting that patient’s lead nurse. This includes alerting doctors of change in patient status (vomiting/pain/bleeding/diarrhea, etc).
To ensure all boarding patients and clinic animals receive proper care either directly or through management observation.
To ensure that all patients in rooms are efficiently seen and to give guidance to each patient’s head nurse as needed. Including that each head nurse and assistant are fulfilling their rolls respectively.
To assist the doctors in providing client education on an advanced level as deemed appropriate by higher management reflecting on the head techs level of experience and education.
To oversee that patient welfare is upheld and that fear free approach is utilized by all team members.
Teamwork
To provide an open line of communication to the office manage, lead receptionist, doctors and owners as to hospital and staffing needs, problems and to participate in finding solutions.
