Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Job Description:

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced associate veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and be able to provide a wide range of services to our patients. Duties will include:

• Providing routine medical care, including vaccinations, exams, and surgery
• Diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries
• Counseling pet owners on pet health and behavior
• Working with other members of the veterinary team to provide excellent patient care
• Interest in becoming a partner in the practice

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• 1-3 years of experience in a small animal practice (or new graduates welcome with strong clinical skills)
• Strong clinical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for veterinary medicine and commitment to providing the best possible care for animals

We are a locally owned and growing private practice that has been around for almost 50 years. We are a two-doctor small animal practice with a focus on internal medicine, surgery, and wellness. We offer a wide range of services, including digital radiology, ultrasound, full in-house Idexx lab, endoscopy, doppler blood pressure, Digicare surgical monitoring system, Tonopen, Phovia Light, surgical laser, therapeutic laser, and paperless, web-based practice management software.

Tuscaloosa is the 5th largest city in Alabama, a college town and home of the University of Alabama. We are 3.5 hours from Atlanta and Nashville, 4.5 hours from the beautiful gulf coast or New Orleans. Our wonderful town has many options for the outdoors person such as hiking, boating, and fishing in our state parks.
