Our fast-growing practice is independently owned by Dr. Amber Herron, DVM, a highly respected member of the local veterinary community.
Our new, state-of-the-art, 16000 sq. ft. hospital, underwent a complete interior redesign in 2023, and features ample treatment space, two dedicated surgery suites, dedicated dentistry suite, and an impressive list of modern equipment.

About the Team
The full-time staff currently consists of our two Veterinarians, one full time Practice Manager, four full time Technicians, three full time Receptionists, and twoawesome Tech/Kennel Assistants! The team consistently praises the hard-working, family-like atmosphere in the building. Additionally, the high percentage of full-time team members ensures continuity and collaboration that few other practices can offer.

About the Practice
For over forty years, Caring Hands, an independently owned practice, has served the needs of pet owners and their dogs, cats, exotics, and birds in Billings.. We are preparing to move into our new state-of-the-art 16000 sq. ft. hospital this winter. Following a complete remodel the new building features ample treatment space, two dedicated surgery suites, a dedicated dentistry suite, and an impressive list of modern equipment. We make every effort to invest in our clinical capabilities and would be delighted to add to our service offerings if you possess unique skills. From a workflow perspective, we operate on twenty minuteappointment blocks and do not allow walk-ins.
We want to help you be the most successful veterinarian at every stage of your career. We not only have in house consulting with colleagues, but also offer direct specialist consulting. Veterinary Information Network (VIN) membership is included in your benefit package–because we believe that you should have every opportunity to care for your patients well. About You
You are a practicing veterinarian, licensed, and in good standing with the State of Montana! Additionally, you are committed to practicing high-quality evidence-based medicine/surgery and could consider yourself a lifetime learner. If you have specific clinical interests, that is wonderful; we are always looking to expand the spectrum of services the hospital is able to offer to its clients. You are patient with pet owners and generally have a positive disposition in the exam room and treatment areas. Enjoying a collaborative environment where everyone learns from each other is a major bonus. In terms of your clinical experience, we are flexible: seasoned veterans of the profession are appreciated and new grads are also welcome.
