CASE was opened in June 2023 and currently has the following departments.
24/7 Emergency
Internal Medicine
Surgery
Oncology
Neurology/Neurosurgery
Advanced Imaging (MRI, CT, Fluoroscopy, and Ultrasound) Specialists in Emergency/Critical Care, Cardiology, Anesthesia, and Radiology will be added in the future. The hospital includes a full array of in-house laboratory tests, digital radiography, C-arm fluoroscopy, high-end ultrasound, Storz endoscopy, modern surgery rooms, 64-slice CT Scanner, and a 1.5 T MRI. We are the only veterinary hospital in Southern California to offer stereotactic MRI-guided brain and spine biopsy (Brainsight Neuronavigation®). We are completely paperless and innovative measures have been taken to maximize efficiency with medical records and paperwork. We value proper work and life balance. Job Overview:
• The Hospital Administrator should work closely with the Medical Director to establish and maintain the goals of the hospital.
• The Hospital Administrator is responsible for the hospital’s performance and growth including revenue, productivity, staff training and performance, client satisfaction, and marketing effectiveness.
• The Hospital Administrator must be active, visible, and involved with the staff. The Hospital Administrator must participate by developing relationships with referring veterinary hospitals, industry groups, related professionals, and community organizations.
• The Hospital Administrator must monitor and assess the staff’s work performance, constructively deliver feedback, resolve routine personnel issues, and conduct performance evaluations.
• The Hospital Administrator must supervise the staff in all departments and establish management and leadership teams.
• The Hospital Administrator must manage the financial health and growth of the hospital and gain a deep understanding of the hospital's financial status.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversight of the daily operations of the hospital.
• Support, monitoring, coaching, development, and motivation of the team.
• Actively involved with development and implementation of various growth strategies in conjunction with the CEO and Medical Director.
• Monitor and manage the facility, equipment, IT, and any aspect related to the hospital.
• Monitor, analyze, and make recommendations regarding revenue, department/DVM productivity, profit margins, capital expenditures, budgeting, etc.
• Availability for urgent matters outside of routine work hours.
• Establish and improve protocols for client care and their interactions with staff in conjunction with the CSR Manager and DA assistant Supervisor.
• Establish and maintain the highest level of client service. Function as client liaison and manage client relationships when necessary.
• Assist and provide a vision and strategies to design and implement marketing strategies to ensure continual growth of the practice.
• Participate in industry and community activities and develop new and unique marketing projects and events.
• Maintain compliance with all laws, regulations, policies, benefits, and contracts.
• Establish goals for the practice and staff. Organize and lead employee meetings.
• Staff hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating as required.
• Maintain the culture of CASE.
Qualifications:
* The Hospital Administrator should ideally possess a bachelor's degree in business, hospital administration or CVPM, and have 5+ years of hospital management experience in a specialty and emergency hospital setting.
* The Hospital Administrator should have a general understanding of HR and labor laws.
* Master's degree in business or hospital administration is desirable but not necessary.
