Echo Lane Animal Clinic (ELAC) is offering a preceptorship to third or fourth year veterinary students. Founded in 1975, ELAC operates in the Memorial area of Houston, just across the street from Memorial High School. Our roots in the community run deep as the clinic’s original owner still works part-time as an associate veterinarian. The current owner, Dr. Allison Dees, graduated from Louisiana State University in 2004. We have assembled a strong team of medical professionals to support our doctors. Proudly, we put compassion and gold-standard care above profits on a spreadsheet.
One reason we have chosen to offer a preceptorship program is that the opportunity to learn and grow in veterinary medicine is endless. We endeavor to extend a kind and expert guiding hand when needed, always allowing independence for one to discover their own way of practicing veterinary medicine. Our clinic incorporates abdominal ultrasound, digital radiology, multi-modal anesthetic monitors, electronic recordkeeping and a dedicated surgery suite focused mostly on soft tissue surgery and dentistry. Thanks to both our affluent location and a strong program of client education, our clients tend to be very compliant. We are able to do a wide variety of procedures and provide the best possible medical care to our patients. If your goal is to become a top-notch general practitioner, we will be a great fit. Looking forward to hearing from you!
