Fresno Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center is located in the heart of the Central Valley, just hours away from Yosemite National Park and the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Serving a pet owner community of nearly one million, Fresno Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center has established itself as the premier emergency and specialty facility in Central California. In January 2014, we received certification from the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS) as a Level 1 Facility, a designation that would have not been possible without the continued support of our veterinary and non-veterinary community. We pride ourselves on the ability to provide the highest level of care, communication, and services to our entire community. As a Level 1 Facility, we are proud to be the only ER locally equipped to provide exotic pets with care!
We are looking for an enthusiastic emergency veterinarian to join our overnight team! Believing in the work-life balance, we cater our veterinarian schedule to allow for time off between shifts, as well as no switching from days to nights. Fresno Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center sets itself apart from many other emergency practices, by offering a team and cooperative environment that thrives in mentorship and learning. Our average team member has been here over 6 years, with our management team working with us since 2007. We also offer Individualized Mentoring with a Boarded DVM and Resident!

About Fresno Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center
Compassion-First and NVA recognize that we share deep-rooted values and priorities. For years, our dedication to Specialty and Emergency medicine has been a common background.
Our groups have long shared the belief that the best patient care comes from championing hospitals in their local communities and supporting the practices and culture that have made them successful. We believe in empowering veterinarians and their teams with deeper resources so they can do more of what’s already working.
Combining our strengths gives us the opportunity to make a lasting and positive impact on the profession, our people, and the care of animals.
As one of the only dedicated Specialty and Emergency groups in the industry, NVA Compassion-First is the trusted partner of hospital teams who are looking for more—more resources to advance their medicine, a greater sense of belonging, and increased opportunities to care for their patients, clients and people.
