Are you a General Practice Veterinarian tired of the daily caseload of vaccines and wellness visits, but not quite comfortable tackling the most critical emergencies? Or are you an Emergency Doctor wanting off overnights but still wanting to see a wide variety of cases?
Pet Urgent Care, located in Anchorage, AK is looking to hire a Veterinarian that focuses on non-critical, yet urgent, cases that prefer to avoid the Emergency Clinic. We are interested in speaking to internship-trained candidates and/or experienced GP or ER clinicians for a full-time position. This position will include care and services of non-critical emergencies, to include skin lacerations, vomiting, limping, ear infections, eye and skin issues, etc. We are ideally looking to fill a FT position of 3, 12-hr shifts Sun-Tues,noon to midnight. No overnights!
Pet Urgent Care provides urgent care services to pets and their owners in the Anchorage Bowl and Alaskan “bush” communities. Our highly skilled veterinarians and staff are dedicated to serving animals with exceptional urgent care, providing compassion to the people who love them, and supporting the local veterinary community.
Intimidated by being the only veterinarian on staff? Our sister hospital (located a few blocks away) is a24/7full-service Emergency clinic with on-site specialty services including Internal Medicine. Our Urgent Care Facility:
• Spacious building with 4 exam rooms and large treatment area
• In-house laboratory capabilities including Idexx Vet Suite (Catalyst Chemistry Analyzer, Lasercyte CBC, Urinalysis, and ELISA Snap Reader), and basic cytology.
• In-house Ultrasound
• Digital radiography (with specialty radiologist review of all cases)
• Complete pharmacy, OTC products, and prescription diets
• Licensed Veterinary Technician working in treatment with trained technician assistants and kennel technicians.
