Animal Care Clinic of Pingree Grove, located in Pingree Grove, Illinois, is looking for a full-time, experienced, or new graduate Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team!

About our Hospital: Animal Care Clinic of Pingree Grove is a full-service, Fear Free, small animal hospital offering the best in medical and surgical care. Our hospital is fully equipped with an in-house lab, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and ultrasound. Our digital radiography equipment is brand new, user friendly, and radiology consults are readily available through our radiography software. Our Medical Director, Dr. Jeremy Baitman, has additional training in ultrasound and does our diagnostic abdominal imaging. We utilize Imaging-4-Pets for our echocardiograms. We are paperless and use the Cloud-based software, eVet, for our electronic medical records. We will be starting renovations in late July/early August and will be adding an additional exam room, as well as putting computer workstations into every exam room.

Our doctors perform a variety of routine, advanced soft tissue surgeries, emergency surgeries, and dentistry. Dr. Baitman started his veterinary career in emergency medicine and is experienced in procedures like splenectomies, abdominal exploratory surgeries, and enterotomies. We routinely refer our orthopedic cases to our nearby sister clinic, ACC of Randall Pointe. We would be open to any doctors interested in orthopedic surgery, to allow us to offer this service at our hospital.

Our surgery suite contains all the necessary equipment and provisions to provide common soft tissue and emergency procedures within or exceeding the standards of care, including suction, cautery, warming support, and monitoring equipment. Our dentistry equipment includes a high and low-speed Midmark dental machine, iM3 dental packs, and digital dental radiography. We also have a cold laser, which can be used post-op. Preoperative lab work, IV catheter, and IV fluids are required for every anesthetic patient, and full-mouth dental radiographs are required for every patient having a COHAT.

Most importantly, we have a well-trained and well-utilized support staff. They are empowered to do everything they are trained to do, including taking normal and dental radiographs, placing IV catheters, intubating, monitoring, and medicating patients. Every doctor is well-supported by 2-3 technicians and assistants in appointments and in surgery. Our client service reps are also cross-trained to provide technical help if needed. At ACC of Pingree Grove, we have worked very hard to create an easy-going, helpful, positive, respectful, and friendly team. Our team is led by Dr. Jeremy Baitman, who appreciates and respects work/life balance.

Hours: Our practice is open Monday and Tuesday, 8 am to 7 pm, Wednesdays – Fridays, 8 am to 6 pm, and Saturdays, 8 am to 2 pm. A full-time schedule would consist of 3-4 weekdays per week and 1 Saturday shift every 3 weeks. There are no on-call responsibilities because we have several emergency clinics within 20 minutes.
