Salmon Brook Veterinary Hospital in Granby, CT is seeking a part-time large animal veterinarian with strength and interest in equine, and other large animal wellness, preventative, and emergency medicine. Must be willing to care for and treat other species of large animal besides equine. Part time would be a 2-day scheduled work week and every other Saturday. Additionally, emergency duties are shared amongst the other large animal veterinarian.
Our privately owned, 8 doctor mixed animal practice focuses on high quality medicine, teamwork, and customer service. The large animal division is comprised of approximately 85% equine, 5% bovine, with the remaining 10% small ruminants, porcine and camelids.
The successful candidate will be provided a fully stocked ambulatory vehicle, assigned a technician and offered a generous benefits package. Salary is commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, you will also receive a percentage of your production. Liability and Disability insurance is included. Licenses, AVMA, AAEP, and CVMA dues as well as a competitive continuing education allowance are all paid by Salmon Brook. A 15k sign on bonus is offered with a signed contract of employment.
