Associate DVM

Southpoint Animal Hospital, located in Durham, NC, is looking for a full-time Associate DVM to add to our growing practice. We are looking for an Associate Veterinarian that wants to practice high-quality medicine, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance and supporting a positive work environment.

Southpoint Animal Hospital is a 5 doctor, small animal practice in South Durham. We opened our doors in 2010 and have been happily serving NC patients and clients since.

We are a primary veterinary care facility that strives to deliver quality wellness and preventive care, progressive medical care, soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery, comprehensive dental procedures, laser therapy and diagnostic ultrasound.

Job Requirements

• Holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
• Has a North Carolina State Medical Board license (in good standing)
• Makes decisions for the benefit of clients and patients, alike
• Communicates clearly and effectively with clients and team members
• Demonstrates compassion toward clients, patients, and team members
• Commits to practicing the highest standards of medical care and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
• Desires a consistent work schedule, and has availability to work some Saturdays
• 1-year or more of experience is preferred
• Proficient in general surgery
• Proficient in dentistry a plus
