Shore Veterinarians includes three full-service animal hospitals and welcomes both emergency treatment cases as well as pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care. We have years of experience treating serious conditions and offering regular pet wellness care. About the position:
The Associate Veterinarian is responsible for medical and surgical care of patients in the exam room and in the hospital. This includes maintaining client relationships and effectively communicating the care needs and condition of their pet. Medical records are maintained in an accurate and legible manner and estimates are presented to clients in advance of care, as appropriate. The Associate Veterinarian is considered a member of the hospital’s management team and is therefore responsible for supporting the hospital leadership and NVA.
Basic Skills and Qualifications:
Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification program
Strong communication skills: written, verbal and listening
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong working knowledge of veterinary medicine
Good working knowledge of business practice and accounting
