We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic veterinarian to join our team! Full time or part time applicants will be considered. 

Merrick Animal Hospital is a busy private practice that strives to practice high-quality medicine and surgery, while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Located in Brookfield, Illinois, we are a well-established, independent, and full-service veterinary hospital, providing care for small animals. We provide comprehensive care via our full in-house lab, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, therapy laser, ultrasound, computerized medical records and a team open to collaboration. Each doctor has their own workspace and is paired with a veterinary assistant and veterinary technician to ensure they can care for patients effectively and efficiently. 

Doctor schedules are flexible. Full-time Doctors are typically scheduled four weekdays (which includes one surgical day) and every other Saturday (closed Sunday). Each Doctor has a set schedule and the same day off each week. We are an appointment-based clinic, with no emergencies after hours or on-call. Consideration will be given to both new graduates and seasoned veterinarians.

Our ideal candidate is comfortable in both preventative medicine and challenging cases. Proficiency in routine surgeries and dental care is required, but guidance can be given to new graduates while developing their surgical skills.

Salary is based on production with a generous guaranteed minimum and no negative accrual, with sign-on bonus offered. Additional benefits include paid time off, paid holidays, paid professional dues/license/liability insurance, paid CE time, CE allowance, dental and vision plan, health insurance and/or stipend, VIN membership, and 401K with employer match. Production bonuses and profit sharing become available as tenure increases.
