Millerstown Veterinary Associates is an established family-oriented mixed practice set in the rolling hills and fields of central PA, between Harrisburg and State College. Millerstown, the oldest town in Perry County, is quietly nestled beside the Juniata River.
Currently we have two full-time companion animal doctors, and four full-time mixed animal doctors. We are looking to fill a position for a companion animal doctor with the potential for occasional in-clinic mixed animal patients if desired. Position responsibilities would include routine surgery and wellness and sick exams while an expanding interest in dentistry, orthopedic surgery or other topics is certainly encouraged. The new associate would have access to routine in-house blood diagnostics, digital radiology (full body and dental), new dental equipment and ultrasound. There are also several specialist clinics that we work closely with in the area. Rotating emergency duty is shared with the other associates. Established 24-hour clinics are also within driving distance.
Dedication to our patients and clients is expected but we respect personal life with a good work to life balance and a healthy mentorship atmosphere. We value a doctor that can think individually but can just as easily work with our close-knit team.
Both recent (and upcoming) graduates and experienced veterinarians will be considered. Salary commiserates with experience. Paid vacation, CE, professional dues, professional liability, health insurance, AFLAC benefits, and state licensure are provided.
