Terrace Heights Family Pet Clinic is searching for a veterinarian who prioritizes client communication, has a positive attitude, and would like the chance to take a practice with a great legacy and make it theirs.
We’re open to veterinarians of all experience levels, however, our community would most benefit from a DVM who is well-rounded and enjoys appointments just as much as surgery. An interest in dentistry is a plus!
The role:
As our next doctor, your home-base will be Terrace Heights Family Pet Clinic and you will have the opportunity to split time at our partner practice in Yakima -- Animal Medical Service. Your main focus will be small animal medicine; however, we also see companion animals and AMS treats equine patients for those interested in mixed animal services.
What makes Terrace Heights Family Pet Clinic stand out?

We are the only Silver Certified Cat Friendly Practice in Yakima County
We have great longevity with numerous long-term technicians on our highly skilled support staff team
We'll support your professional interests and allow you to practice the things that matter most to you
We’ll help build a schedule that best fits your ideal work/life balance and offers you time to enjoy life outside of work

401(k) options
Annual CE allowance
Professional development assistance
Structured mentorship program for early career veterinarians
Guidance from a talented Medical Advisory Board
And more!
Our commitment to mentorship:
Our collaboration with relief doctors and Animal Medical Service ensure you have time to collaborate with veterinarians in the area. We also have close relationships with hospitals throughout Eastern Washington for those who enjoy traveling and would like to collaborate from DVMs throughout the state. Additionally, we have access to a talented Medical Advisory Board, a dentistry training course courtesy of a board-certified dental specialist, and a structured mentorship program for early career veterinarians and experienced doctors who are interested in serving as a mentor. The program includes a mentorship guide, digital and electronic skills checklist, and example calendar—all designed to gauge progression and ensure doctors in the early years of their career are set up for success.
Outdoor enthusiasts, the Yakima Valley is calling your name!
Yakima is home to sunny skies, crystal clear mountain views, and miles of hills to climb and trails to blaze in every direction. From outdoor recreation (hike, swim, dirt bike, ski—you name, it!) to award-winning wineries, farm-to-table eateries, and farm fresh produce around every corner, it is the perfect place to explore and savor. Yakima is about 60 miles southeast of Mount Rainier in Washington and is blessed with 300+ days of sunshine each year. With its beautiful, experience-all-the-seasons weather, central location, relatively low cost of living, and strong sense of community, it's a premiere place to live, work, and play. P.S. if you’re a Washington State University graduate who loved Pullman, you’re likely to love Yakima too!
Housing in Yakima:
Not only is housing more affordable in Yakima, but you’re also able to own property/acreage at a lower price too! With great options for singles, couples, and families, in Yakima you can find yourself living in the mountains, riverfront, or amongst the plains. The best part? No matter where you choose, the views are incredible, and the price is right in the Yakima Valley.
