Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) Sorrento Valley is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital in San Diego, California.  We are looking for a talented, energetic, personable individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who will be a contributing member of our veterinary team. The successful candidate will have completed a rotating internship or have a minimum of 2 years of full time experience as an Emergency Veterinarian. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a 24-hour specialty environment.

Our hospital is a 26,500 square foot, 3-story facility with 5 treatment wards, 18 exam rooms, 6 operating rooms and a state of the art ICU. Our specialty equipment includes video endoscopes, bronchoscopes, laparoscopes, digital radiology unit, on-site CT 64 slice scanner, 1.5 T MRI, ultrasounds for ER/ICU use, defibrillator, operating microscope, an in-house laboratory with blood gas analyzer, NOVA and CBC/CHEM.  The operating rooms, ICU and ER are equipped with a multifunction bed-side monitor with capabilities for direct pressure monitoring, pulse oximetry, capnography, and ECG.

Doctors are supported by an amazing group of technicians, client care coordinators, and management team. Our specialties include: critical care, anesthesiology, emergency, dental, dermatology, radiology, laboratory, neurology and neurosurgery, internal medicine, surgery, and oncology.  The emergency doctors will be working with 3 criticalists and other specialists on-site, and participation in ECC resident rounds and journal club to cultivate growth is encouraged.
