Practice the quality medicine you want to practice.  Establish long term relationships with clients.  Educate your clients and get to know your patients.   We got into this profession to help animals and their owners.  You can do that here.  We are an integrative practice. Western medicine, including appropriate vaccinations, diagnosis, prescribing and surgery, is our focus.  Eastern medicine, specifically, Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) (acupuncture, herbal therapy, food therapy and tui na), is just an additional, but powerful, tool in our toolbox to help manage chronic diseases, control pain, and provide palliative care with a high Quality of Life for our patients as our paramount goal.  We separate appointments between western appointments and in house referral for TCVM evaluations and therapies.  If you want to practice quality western medicine only, we have plenty of clients and patients for you. You do not have to have any experience in holistic, homeopathic or eastern medicine to join our team.  If you are interested in learning more about TCVM, we will support your endeavors. If you already practice integrative medicine then we are the place for you. We want you to love coming to work every day... 

We are located in the thriving community of Stonebridge Ranch in McKinney. Our neighborhoods, schools, parks and nearby amenities are amazing. We have the small town feel, with big town amenities. A new HEB is being built right around the corner. (Woo-Hoo!) This is a great place for singles, families, or empty nesters.

Responsibilities

• Examine animals and check their health status
• Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment
• Perform dental, and soft tissue surgeries
• Vaccinate animals to prevent diseases
• Spay and neuter cats and dogs as needed
• Prescribe medication
• Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare and general care
• Maintain patient records

Skills

• Any experience level accepted. Mentoring available if needed.
• Experience conducting various types of surgeries, vaccinations and health checks on animals
• Knowledge of medical equipment (e.g. X-ray machines) and anesthesia procedures
• Problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language
• Patience and a love for animals
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and license from the State of Texas required.
