To Provide Veterinary Care and Program oversight for Building 49 Central Animal Facility. Consistently provides timely clinical veterinary care and oversight to laboratory animals used within the Building 49 Central Animal Facility and, in the absence of the NEI clinical veterinarian, the NEI Intramural Research Program. The incumbent also serves as a clinical veterinarian for NHLBI animals housed in Building 49 and participates in a rotational program to provide clinical and emergency support to other ICs animals housed in the Building 49 CAF.  Develops standard operating procedures and ensures timely and adequate veterinary care of all animals in the Facility.
