To Provide Veterinary Care and Support for NIMH Intermural Research Program  Support shall include: Consistently provides timely clinical veterinary care to laboratory animals (rodents, NHPs, etc.) used within the NIMH Intramural Research Program and as assigned. Participates as required in the provision of emergency veterinary care for animals within the NIMH program or other programs as assigned. Effectively evaluates veterinary and husbandry practices and establishes or modifies procedures required to maintain high standards of animal care for constantly fluctuating colonies and programmatic requirements. Provides consistent and authoritative veterinary expertise to the Institute’s Animal Care and Use Committee
