Lamoille Valley Veterinary Services is well established, committed to remaining independent, and located in beautiful northern Vermont. We provide general wellness and sick care as well as surgery, including laparoscopic, additional reproductive services, and limited-hours emergency care to a sustainable capacity. Our in-house laboratory is extensive, imaging is digital and recently upgraded, and we have a canine blood bank on site. We also run a behavior practice with consultations and training programs. We have amazing technicians and senior assistants who can do it all, and we have programs in place to help grow the next generation of veterinary professionals - a particular passion of our leadership team.

We're made up of 4 experienced doctors and 20 support staff, and we believe in investing in our people. We are proudly AAHA-accredited since 1988, Low Stress Handling Certified, AAFP Cat Friendly Certified, and C-SAW (Compassion-Satisfaction Accredited Workplace) designated. We have support staff on-site 24/7 to care for hospitalized patients. We provide a generous CE budget and are always striving to learn and practice the best medicine we can. The hospital mission statement is "Patient Advocacy as a Team," and most of our group have been with us for longer than 10 years (with a few over 20)! Our team is our heart and soul.

Despite the challenges private practices can face, we are proudly competitive in wages and benefits for both doctors and support staff. While we do not offer a formal mentorship program, our doctors work in an open office and collaborate on cases regularly. We boast the highest pet ownership per capita in the United States, enjoy beautiful scenery through every season, and the surrounding area offers many opportunities for outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, and kayaking. Hyde Park and the surrounding area is idyllic while still providing easy access to metro areas Burlington and Montreal.
