This well-educated, water-front neighborhood boasts stunning views of the snowcapped Olympic mountain range towering high over the shinning waters of Puget Sound. Our location affords you an opportunity to be part of the original books & coffee culture, take early morning walks around Green Lake, enjoy amazing sunsets over the sound from your standup paddle board or become a volunteer at Woodland Park Zoo.  If the city scape is more your scene, you will love our hip, Ballard Avenue. This attractive, brick paved, historic street is lined with top restaurants, bars, boutiques, live music and exciting night life. For a bigger scene, downtown Seattle is only 7 minutes away. Pikes Place Market, waterfront tourist attractions, aquarium and museums, professional sports stadiums and ferries across Puget Sound can all be found here within walking distance of public transportation.   A tank of gas will buy you access to the Cascade Mountains and the coast, with world class hiking, climbing, snow skiing, mountain biking and all kinds of boating on fresh and salt water.  Weekend trips to the San Juan Islands, Vancouver British Columbia, Hoh rain forest, Pacific beaches or warm desert east of the Cascade Mountains are all easy.

What we do: General Private Practice. Dogs and Cats. Doctor’s hours are 4 days a week from 8am-noon and 2pm-6pm. Currently M, T, Th and F. 

Unlike corporate hospitals, we don't have harsh directives and rigorous protocols from headquarters to spoil our quality of life. A more relaxed work environment, increased professional autonomy and flexible management will allow you more control over your life and stave off burnout. There is no expectation to leave late or miss lunch. No on-call or afterhours. You will always work with several other veterinarians in the same location and with the same staff. 

You will be doing in-room wellness and sick appointments 2 days a week, surgery and dentistry one day a week and drop-offs one day a week. You examine, diagnosis, prescribe and chart. You will have a supportive team of trained assistants to do the rest.  We are a friendly, private practice where we all strive to keep the atmosphere positive and fun.

What we have: We have been paperless for decades and run advanced, veterinary software for medical records, workflow and communication that will lighten your workload. Our facilities have been completely remodeled over the last two years for better efficiency and more modern aesthetic. We are high tech and fully loaded on site with brand new, top of the line equipment including Computed Tomography, DR X-ray, Ultrasound, K laser, Radiosurgery, DR Dental X-ray, and tonopen.

Extra Opportunities we can provide: We will teach you dentistry skills you were not taught in school and teach you surgical procedures you haven’t done before. We have a collaborative work environment, so you will be able to get advice on your difficult cases or imaging from other vets. We are open and supportive of your specific interests in the veterinary medicine be they advanced surgical procedures or acupuncture. We have historically included pet goats, mini pigs, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and pocket pets in our practice so If you are interested in learning about and treating additional species, you will be able to.  We have mentored many new graduates and always have room to train one more. 

What we offer: Generous compensation of $150,00-$200,000 per year for 4 day week (8 hours of patient care per day). Up to $20,000 signing bonus. Up to $10,000 in relocation assistance.
