Assisting the veterinarian during surgical procedures
Monitoring patient vitals during procedures and recovery
IV catheter placement and phlebotomy
Administering SQ, IV or IM injections
Be able to competently respond to emergency cases that arrive.
Maintaining patient charts and client communication
Triaging patients and determining if a patient is deemed stable.
Advising pet owners on post-care instructions
Administer blood or blood products and properly use transfusion log.
Assist in answering phones and checking patients in.
Ensures appropriate standards of patient care and client service are maintained
