Veterinary Care Specialists is an independently owned veterinary facility focused on delivering total pet care. We are fully equipped and staffed to facilitate the practice of the highest quality of veterinary medical, surgical and critical care. We are proud to have been serving our community for over twenty years. Our facility is staffed by diplomats of ACVS and ABVP. We are home to Animal MRI Center and VCS Pets First, a general medicine and surgery service. We also provide rehabilitative medicine services and treat exotic pets too. We are proud to be AAHA certified as well as Cat Friendly and Fear Free Practice.
What You’ll Be Working On
Practice as an after-hours clinician seeing emergencies and performing well pet care too
Diagnose, treat and manage a variety of small animal cases
Perform routine, elective and emergency surgeries with opportunity for mentorship
Effectively lead support staff so that client and patient care is the highest quality
Update clients regarding inpatient care and lab work in a timely manner
Possess a DVM or equivalent degree
Be licensed or able to be licensed to practice in Michigan
Ability to work after-hours
Demonstrated commitment to practice medicine with integrity
Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for continuous learning
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Act as a positive role model and mentor to the staff around you

We are a 24 hour emergency and referral hospital as well as a general medical and surgical center located in southeastern Michigan.Veterinary Care Specialists is located within a vibrant community with access to many outdoor activities and cultural events.
Surgical and neurology services as well as critical care are represented by our facility. On staff we have a boarded surgeon and an ABVP diplomat.We provide general medical and surgical care through our service,VCS Pets First. Exotic pet medicine and surgery, therapeutic laser, MRI, ultrasound, endoscopy, complete in house laboratory services and stem cell therapy are additional services provided through our rapidly growing facility.Our business is constantly growing and looking for new ways to service our community
