Hallett Veterinary Hospital is in need of a full time associate veterinarian to join our busy 5 doctor practice. Our doctors provide high quality medicine and surgery to all patients along with supplying information to pet owners that will actively involve them in the decisions that will affect their pet. Diagnostics are emphasized in order to offer the best treatment options available. Our hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30am until 6pm and Saturdays from 8am until 4pm. Hallett Veterinary Hospital provides all progressive general medical services, including preventative medicine procedures such as vaccinations and complete physical examinations. We provide these services in combination with as much low stress handling as possible for our patients. More specialized medical treatments like chemotherapy, endoscopy, laparoscopic surgery and ultrasound exams are also offered.
Veterinarian Job Responsibilities:
Maintains animal health by diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries.
Determines the nature of disease or injury by examining pets.
Restores animal health by treating animals surgically or medically.
Prevents rabies, brucellosis, and other disorders by testing animals and providing inoculations.
Promotes health of animals by advising animal owners about sanitation measures, feeding, and general care.
Documents actions by completing and updating forms, reports, and animal records and reporting diseases to public health officials.
Enhances clinic reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Our veterinarians work a flexible 40 hours a week schedule with one Saturday every 3 weeks, no holidays and no on-call duties required. Hallett Veterinary Hospital is state of the art facility with separate dog and cat wards, isolation room for contagious animals, dental radiology and oral surgery, laparoscopic surgery including spay, gastropexy and exploratory, digital x-ray and Imaging room, in-house ultrasound and endoscopy. Continuing education for both doctors and staff is the cornerstone for providing progressive care. Highly trained staff including certified veterinary technicians, assist in the care and treatment of patients allowing the doctors to spend more time practicing medicine.
Veterinarian Qualifications / Skills:
Knowledge of animal behavior
Performing diagnostic procedures
Use of medical technologies
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Completion of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
State license to practice in the profession
Additional Salary Information: 20% commission available
