We are seeking a confident, compassionate full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our veterinary team. Advanced training experience (such as an internship) is preferred but not required and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. We have an opportunity for a DVM to provide high level care in the areas of general practice/preventative medicine as well as to participate in the management of advanced referral medical cases. The successful candidate will have opportunities to learn ultrasound (abdominal and cardiac), endoscopy, CT and other areas of referral level care. If desired, the candidate will have the opportunity to pursue board certification through the ABVP under the guidance of two ABVP Diplomates. The ABVP allows the option of achieving board certification while earning a full salary, living a balanced life, and working a reasonable schedule. Kimberly Crest Veterinary Hospital & Specialty Services is an AAHA accredited, multi-doctor general and specialty practice. Owner practices full time at the hospital ensuring an understanding of day to day functions and doctors’ needs. We have seven registered technicians. We have five veterinary assistants and five client care specialists. We are expanding our support staff to help with the continued growth of our primary care and referral case load. We have a full-time hospital manager fully dedicated to managing the business. Two doctors are board certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP). We have advanced diagnostic capabilities including a GE S8 cardiac and abdominal ultrasound, 8 slice helical CT scanner, endoscopic capabilities for GI, bronchoscopy, rhinoscopy, cystoscopy, and laparoscopy. Our surgeon performs advanced soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries including TPLOs, total hip replacements, advanced bone plating, hemilaminectomies, laryngeal tiebacks as well as the full gamut of abdominal and gastrointestinal procedures. Our facility is equipped with a complete in-house laboratory, digital/dental radiography, oxygen cage, C-arm/fluoroscopy, Holter monitor and ECG telemetry. We handle a full range of dental and oral procedures from endodontics and orthodontics to maxillofacial resections and reconstructions. We also offer behavioral consultations and have a certified dog trainer on staff. The hospital is open from 8 AM to 6 PM Monday through Fridays and 8 AM to noon on Saturdays. Emergencies are seen by the Animal Emergency Center, of which we are shareholders. Doctors typically work Monday through Friday with an afternoon off and alternating Saturdays. With all after hours emergencies being seen at the AEC; we offer the unique opportunity to provide outstanding referral care while maintaining an excellent work-life balance. We work with over 40 area hospitals seeing referral patients for surgical, medical, advanced imaging, diagnostics, and treatment. We also have a close relationship with the emergency clinic seeing their complicated cases that need ongoing care. The Quad Cities area consists of Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa, and Moline, East Moline and Rock Island in Illinois.
