Northshore Humane Society is one of Louisiana's largest 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal welfare organizations. Since 1953, we have been serving the neglected and abandoned animals of the Northshore region. We are an independent, non-governmental rescue that offers veterinary care, fostering, adoption, and more. We rely solely on the support of caring people like you to fund our programs and services which profoundly benefit the animals of our community.
Our community clinic provides excellent veterinary care to both our rescue pets and to beloved family pets. All funds raised through our clinic directly impact the care of the homeless animals of our rescue. We offer a large number of services four the community and shelter pets. These include wellness visit, annual vaccines, sick visits, xrays, spay/neuter, dental, soft tissue surgeries, heartworm treatment and more!
Through grant and corporate partners, we are able to provide a variety of low-cost pet care to people in need. These include low cost spay/neuter opportunities, microchipping, vaccinations and more!
