Loop 363 Animal Hospital is an established, rapidly growing 2-doctor practice looking for a 3rd doctor to join the team. Our doctors have been with this practice for 17.5 years and 8.5 years, and the lead technician has been here for nearly 15 years. We are a team devoted to compassionate and thorough patient care. If you are an experienced or a new graduate doctor, you will be considered for this position. We will also consider part-time applicants. Our doctors and staff can help to mentor you to become a great veterinarian. You need to provide great patient care, communicate to clients with good bed-side manner, and contribute to our family environment as a team player. You need to be organized and efficient with your case load; however, we schedule the time you need to perform a thorough physical exam, educate clients about best patient care and prevention, and build good rapport with the clientele. You must be comfortable with (or have a willingness to become proficient with) routine surgeries. This position has no after-hour emergencies, and the only weekend requirement is 1-2 Saturday mornings per month. Part of the goal in adding you as a 3^rd doctor to our team is to allow you and the other doctors to have a flexible schedule. Our focus is on preventative medicine; however, we see a wide variety of cases often involving challenging internal medicine and some orthopedics.  Our current practice goal is to become more Fear Free. 

Qualifications

• Possess DVM degree from an accredited veterinary school
• Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Texas
• Motivated, loyal, desire to be the best, and always strive for improvement
• Teachable, able to fit in with the team, open to constructive coaching

Our hospital has 3 exam rooms with a 4th exam room coming soon. Cornerstone is our practice software. Equipment includes general digital x-ray and new dental digital x-ray and new dental machine, Heska in-house lab instruments, new microscope, ultrasound, laser therapy, IV pumps, surgical monitoring equipment, tonometer, cryosurgery.  Our hospital uses Antech for outside lab services. Nearly every year, our practice purchases new equipment to better help us with patient care. Our technician staff are well-educated and experienced, and they eagerly encourage clients toward better preventative care. The technicians help free up our doctors to focus on primary duties of diagnosing, prescribing, and surgery.  If we can help you to succeed and perform well as a doctor, we will succeed as a team!  The whole practice benefits!

Loop 363 Animal Hospital is in the growing community of Temple, and it is fortunate that our road building continues to exceed our traffic needs. This area has 2 wonderful lakes, Belton Lake and Stillhouse Hollow Lake, and there are several nature areas and biking trails to allow for outdoor recreation. The Temple downtown area is revitalizing with unique restaurants and shops.  Here in north central Texas, we are close to Belton, Harker Heights, Killeen, Waco, Georgetown, and Round Rock.  Being centrally located in Texas allows for reasonable driving distance to several larger cities. Temple offers a lower cost of living (bigger house for the money) and many city amenities without big city traffic and congestion.
