Until the article, we didn’t realize that we were unique in that we allow our clients anywhere in our facility. I often curl up on the counter and watch clients sit alongside a pet recovering from surgery or feeding their pet rotisserie chicken during a hospital stay. Heck, I have seen clients fall asleep alongside their pet during an acupuncture treatment in our comfort suite. With candles lit, an electric fireplace and lavender essential oil diffusing, who wouldn’t!
Among the many accomplishments of our team - like that we are AAHA-accredited (25 years!) and that we’ve been practicing low stress and fear free handling since long before they were buzz words, my personal favorite is that we are a Gold Level Cat Friendly Practice. We have an AVBP DVM and another certified in acupuncture.
We often hear our clinic exam rooms feel like a spa - with impeccable touches throughout the clinic - starting at our entrance - a private dog entrance/lobby/exam rooms/comfort suite and a separate cat entrance/cat lobby/cat treatment/cat exam rooms. You’ll feel relaxed too, with no after hour/weekend emergencies duty, no Sundays, no on-call shifts, rotating half day Saturdays and flexible hours during the four day work week. Each doctor is paired with a dedicated team member daily - for assistance with electronic medical note entry, low stress restraint, returning phone calls, follow up calls and lab result call backs. In addition to this dedicated team member, we have multiple reception and nursing team members to assist with all areas of patient care. Our technicians compete rigorous training prior to monitoring anesthesia so you always feel as comfortable as possible. We are offering a full time position with benefits, and Salary or ProSal commensurate with experience and skill set. You can expect a six-figure package and still get to work for a private practice (yes, we still exist!).
You may hear me meow if I don’t get my special broth and canned diet when requested several times a day. Don’t worry though, they’ll feed you too! Extended monthly lunches allow for continued discussion of common and difficult cases, new products and hospital procotols. We prefer to agree on protocols/standards as a team vs having it dictated from headquarters. We have a team of four DVMs with decades of combined experience, that practice current medicine and are always evolving. Newest associate stated, "They told us we would meet great resistance to new ideas, changes from us - but that's not true with us." Mentoring is available to you constantly with one on one meetings scheduled weekly. We will create a program that works for YOU.
We have the usual equipment listed in every other ad you've read- we won't bore you with that list (in house lab, digital radiography (and digital dental radiography), ultrasound, endoscopy, CO2 laser. We do know that positions rarely are abandoned for lack of equipment or state of the art facilities, but more commonly from lack of support and lack of teamwork. We provide all of the equipment and support, along with an unparalleled work environment. Take it from me - you’ll never find a more fun, supportive group of individuals and you’ll definitely never find a cooler clinic cat.
