Looking for F/T or P/T Licensed Veterinary Technician with experience working in a fast-paced environment.
The LVT has many important responsibilities and plays many roles within the hospital. They apply their professional skills in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, laboratory testing, patient nursing and client education. He or she should enjoy working with diverse people and animals and be friendly and flexible in the face of varying expectations from clients and co-workers. They must share a firm belief in the quality of care we provide and communicate this sense of assurance to clients.
Skills and Abilities:
Flexible with schedule and willing to work some evenings and Saturdays is preferred
English language and written skills required
Must be able to safely and competently operate equipment pertinent to carrying out their duties, included but not limited to laboratory, dental and anesthesia equipment, and the x ray machine and processor
Basic computer literacy
Employees must have the physical strength and ability to lift and carry a pet or other object weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Works well in team and in a fast-paced environment
Adherence to procedures and protocols
High school degree
Veterinary Technician License from accredited school
Prior experience as veterinary technician
