The Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery Co. is currently hiring for an experienced veterinary surgeon for its high quality, low-cost regional spay-neuter clinic opening soon in one of the fastest growing cities in Tennessee. The following are some of the qualifications:
* Will work towards performing up to 30-35 spay and neuter surgeries for dogs and cats each day (Training will be provided through the Humane Alliance.)
* Experience with pediatric spay-neuter is a plus
* Will supervise 3-4 veterinary technicians/assistants in evaluation and preparation for surgery, as well as the administration of anesthesia
* Must have or apply for Tennessee license to practice veterinary medicine
We are open to meeting with candidates who want to work full-time (4 days per week) or possibly part-time (2-3 days per week). Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including paid time off & paid holidays. No weekends! Salary based on experience.
The HSCMC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in and serving the Clarksville community since 1968. We are a shelter-free organization that specializes in preventive-based programs to include low-cost spay-neuter services, pet food bank, community outreach, youth education, and more. The HSCMC has provided nearly 9,500 low-cost spay-neuter surgeries (through a voucher program with veterinary clinic partners) since 2004, but the new spay-neuter clinic will be able to perform more than half of that many surgeries in just one year!
