We are looking for an associate veterinarian to compliment our progressive, primarily small animal, family-oriented hospital in a busy suburb of Dayton. We have not only been growing every year, but are now also looking to expand our mixed animal services also, and it is time to add another doctor to our 3 doctor team. We believe in a collaboration of medical input between doctors and enjoy mentoring others and continuing to grow ourselves as well. Our hospital capabilities to facilitate this expertise include in-house Idexx Lasercyte, Chemistry Analyzer, and Snapshot, Idexx CR digital radiology, direct dental radiology, ultrasonography, a MidMark dental unit, a Cardell touch-screen anesthetic monitor, a Tonopen, and Avimark computer system. We believe in offering high quality medicine to our clients and patients at affordable rates. We also place strong emphasis in the value of preventative care and put considerable effort into educating our staff and clients. Our support staff is exceptional and gets along very well. We strive to maintain a positive and cooperative atmosphere where everyone feels valued and safe. Appointments run Monday through Saturday, and there are no small animal emergency responsibilities, as Med Vet Dayton is less than 30 minutes away. Our orthopedic and soft tissue surgical and dental services offered are fairly extensive. Opportunity exists, should that individual be interested, to practice exotic or mixed animal medicine as well. Salary and hours are negotiable. Benefits include flexible scheduling, an employer-matched IRA option, a $5000 health insurance stipend, coverage of PLIT and licensure expenses, AVMA, OVMA, and one other membership dues of your choosing, $1000 annual CE stipend, 3 weeks paid vacation to start, holiday pay, and significant pet care discounts. We are so excited to continuing growing our hospital and hope that you can be apart of its future!
The ideal candidate will be licensed in the state of Ohio and looking to practice at least small animal medicine, though interest in mixed animal services, including but not limited to equine, would be preferred. We would like for this individual to also have a comfort and interest in performing surgery. They would be positive, excellent at communication, a team player, and excited to perfect their craft. While we are looking for a veterinarian with previous experience in practicing medicine, we are not opposed to entertaining the hire of a new graduate should they be the right candidate with the passion and desire to learn. The position will require a minimum of two days a week, but can facilitate as many as four days. We ask 2-3 Saturdays per month as well, usually on an alternating schedule.
Additional Salary Information: We are open to negotiations regarding pro-salary, salary, commission, or hourly arrangements.
