Blue Cross Veterinary Hospital is seeking a California-licensed veterinarian with either 3+ years of experience or internship training for a part time (2-3 days/week) associate position. We are a small animal practice serving Signal Hill and the surrounding areas of Long Beach that is celebrating our 90th anniversary this year, and are looking to replace the hours of one of our owners who is retiring to move out of state. We have very long term clients, often seeing multiple generations of the same family, and providing quality work ups with an emphasis on client education. We are not a corporate hospital, and do not practice corporate medicine. Our two owners are seeking an associate who will match our mission statement, staff, and clientele. Our case load is varied and challenging, and we have an excellent relationship with the area specialists.
Our doors close at 6, and we go home when all the calls are made, although it's a very rare day when we leave after 7. There are no after-hours or weekend emergency duties. The average day has 3.5-4 support staff per doctor.
We see dogs and cats. Our outgoing partner also saw rabbits and pocket pets, and an interest in these species would be encouraged.
We are well-equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, Ultrasound, high speed dental drill, K Laser, IDEXX Sedivue, and in-house CBC and Chem.
Specific salary, hours, and benefits to be determined by doctor experience and hours.
