Our four doctor, progressive, mixed (65% small and 35% bovine/equine) animal practice located about 30 minutes south east of Dallas, TX is looking for a mixed animal veterinarian to join our team. Working here you will have the opportunity to live in a small town setting with lots of recreational opportunities, yet have access to the big-city amenities of Dallas. The hospital is well established and has been running for almost 30 years with excellent clientele and support staff. Our mission is to: “provide our loyal, educated clientele with the best medical care and customer service that contemporary veterinary medicine has to offer.”
We may have a long history of serving the community, but don’t let our 30 years in business fool you… we’ve worked hard to keep our medicine and facilities current. We’re in the process of adding on to, and remodeling, our small animal hospital. It is currently stocked with an in-house lab, ultrasound, brand new digital radiography, a K-laser, and new anesthesia monitoring equipment. We also have a new large animal facility featuring a large barn, holding pens, OB working facilities and chutes, a hospital area with room for eight patients, equine stocks, two hydraulic chutes (including a tilt table) and several acres with pens.
The practice is a gem and you will be richly rewarded. New graduates are welcome to apply. New graduate starting salary is $80,000 and experienced veterinarians starting salary is negotiable. Stellar benefits include: Liability Insurance, $200/month toward Health Insurance, License, Dues, CE, and two weeks paid vacation.
Our doctors are happy to mentor a new associate provided he/she brings the following to the table: outstanding communication skills, a sense of humor and the desire to be a long-term contributor to the practice. Veterinarians with special interests are encouraged to apply and can count on the support of the staff in expanding services offered!
As with most mixed animal practices, we do see our own emergencies and the after hour duty will be shared equally among all four veterinarians, with each being on call every fourth week. We do offer our veterinarians 50% of gross revenue collected on any emergency call. Our work week consists of five full days and rotating half-day Saturdays.
